On December 11, mere weeks before the country plunges again into culinary excess, the Food Network will pull the plug on one of its longest-running cooking shows. “Emeril Live!” is going off the air.

Personally, if I can just do something for others, I will do it, without thinking of getting anything in return. It is something that I believe should be the norm when doing a good deed.
